Seventeen (or more) movies have been filmed on Caddo Lake. a recent filming is TWO FOR TEXAS, starring Kris Kristofferson and Scott Bairstow. Opening scenes for the movie, set in the 1830's, were shot at Pine Needle Lodge on Caddo Lake in September, 1997. The movie initially aired  in 1998 on TNT. 

We average about twelve professional photographers yearly. With moss-draped cypress trees and knees growing not only around but in the lake, sunrise and sunset -- often with mists and fog -- offer distinctive photo opportunities.
