Pine Needle Lodge goes back to 1928 when a young Texas Ranger and three friends built "Cypresswood." Cypresswood's Pine Needle Lodge, built in 1973, introduced modern accommodations for Caddo Lake visitors. Today we give you a touch of times past with virgin pines, Spanish moss, ancient cypress trees, pirogues and canoes, solitude, historic Jefferson, and 28,000 acres of cypress forest laced with water trails.

Pine Needle Lodge is a log building with a covered porch and swings, four rooms with private baths and entrances, a community kitchen, and hand-crafted furnishings. Rooms are equipped with one double and 3 single beds. Each unit is built of aromatic cedar; and like a fine wine reaching maturity, its bouquet both surprises and delights guests.

If you wish to be all alone, we offer our Camphouse/ Mobile Home, a 2-bedroom, 38 ft. mobile home nestled among the trees.  The original bedroom has a double bed, the new, rustic bedroom has a queen-size bed, and a loveseat in the living room pulls out into a single bed.
